The Durst Gallery invited each artist to reveal a glimpse of their creativity in this “White Page” section, on a subject of their choice and through the medium of their choice.

Painting of Writings
Non representatives images
Mysterious spaces made of smooth surfaces
Or striated, layered, composed of lines,
Of signs and informal masses.
Experiment
Blending materials and textures together
Search
To do again what I do, what I know how to do.
Start over
To dare, to take risks.
Once the canvas is dry, to look.
To observe these mysterious transformations.
Transmutation. Alchemy.
To seek out chance drawings.
EmpreinMarks, writings, often black.
To conceal almost, in order to reveal.
To cover over, to reveal something else.
Burials.
To bury what has been said, but not entirely.
To mask, but not entirely.
To let appear, to let show through.
To glimpse.
To offer a glimpse of what lies beneath.
Of the depths of the story.
And to trace clumsy lines,
To incise the canvas, to engrave,
Into the flesh, perhaps.
