Candice Lartigue was born in Paris in 1977. After working as an actress, she discovered painting around ten years ago and became fascinated by this new field of expression.

With her "coulées" series of paintings, Candice plays with shapes and colors, creating events and encounters. Playing with drying times, she creates breaks, folds and cracks, metaphors for the accidents that punctuate our lives. She then brings them to light using gold leaf, to remind us that it's our mistakes and difficulties that make us rich.
