Anne Lopez

Anne Lopez graduated from the Beaux-Arts in Paris. She then specialised in three-dimensional work for the creation of her wall sculptures.

She also developed her drawing practice based on intense and very precise gestures.

In order to broaden her technique, she completed her training by enrolling at the École d’Art Mural de Versailles, where she studied decorative painting. This allowed her to practise her art on large-scale projects.

Anne Lopez works meticulously with gold, silver and platinum leaf, which she scales. The resulting designs mimic the swirling movements of the wind, giving her work a light, dreamlike quality. At the same time, she sculpts stucco, a more rigid material, into the same pieces, lending them strength. The artist finds a subtle balance between these different materials.

Anne Lopez is a multidisciplinary artist who also works with wallpaper, which she makes herself. This time, the shapes of her papers resemble plant forms, but always with a movement of wind.

Her works are now in collections and hotels around the world.
