Georges Troubat
Georges Troubat showed a strong artistic inclination from an early age, but decided to pursue a career as a business executive.
Nevertheless, he never ceased to lead a dual career—first in industry, and simultaneously in the arts.
An aesthete, Georges Troubat founded the Galerie Point Rouge in the Golden Triangle of Paris in the late 1980s. This gallery represented major artists such as Miotte and Bozzolini.
He was trained in abstraction by these prominent artists, leaving behind oil painting and the figurative style of his early works without regret.
His industrial career as a paint manufacturer gave him a profound knowledge of paint, its quality, and its colors, which he applied in his own creations. He even produces his own paints, allowing him to precisely express his ideas.
Through this technical mastery, the artist plays with the viewer’s perception. In certain areas of his works, one might think there is collage, layered paper, or transparency. To the viewer’s eye, his works offer a visual journey, with the gaze drawn to the numerous hidden details within the canvas.
Through his works, Georges Troubat seeks aesthetics through form, color, and composition. There is no hidden meaning in his paintings. “My sole goal is to evoke visual pleasure, serenity, and beauty… then emotion takes over; it leads you into the depths of the canvas, allowing you to build your own personal experience. My paintings are meant to be joyful and luminous.”
Georges Troubat’s works are included in several private collections worldwide, including in the United States, Russia, and France.
